After facing heavy criticism from the fans and Spanish Media, Eden Hazard took to social media to apologize to Real Madrid fans after the unprofessional incident of laughing with former Chelsea teammates.

On his official Instagram account, Hazard posted the following apology message on his story:

“I am sorry. I have read lots of opinions about me today and it was not my intention to offend the Real Madrid fans. It has always been my dream to play for Real Madrid and I came here to win. The season is not over and together we must now battle or La Liga! Hala Madrid!”

Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid in a €100 million (£87m/$121m) deal in 2019 after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club. But Hazard’s stint with Madrid has been marred by injuries and he has yet to meet expectations after arriving from Chelsea in 2019.
