Expressing his grief, Anil Agarwal said no words could capture the pain of losing a child. \u201cA son is not meant to leave before his father. This loss has shattered us in ways we are still struggling to understand,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"630\">Who Was Agnivesh Agarwal?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"846\">Agnivesh Agarwal was the eldest son of Anil Agarwal and Kiran Agarwal. Born on June 3, 1976, in Patna, he received his early education at Mayo College in Ajmer before moving to the United States for higher studies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The untimely passing of Shri Agnivesh Agarwal is deeply shocking and saddening. According to an NDTV India report, he spent several years overseas gaining hands-on experience and understanding global business practices, finance, and corporate governance. This international exposure later shaped his leadership roles within Vedanta Group companies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1468\">Anil Agarwal has said that Agnivesh played a key role in setting up Fujairah Gold and went on to serve as Chairman of Hindustan Zinc. He was also a board member of Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), one of Punjab\u2019s largest private thermal power plants.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1499\">Kept a Low Public Profile<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1501\" data-end=\"1784\">Despite his senior responsibilities, Agnivesh largely stayed away from the public eye. He maintained a low profile, was rarely active on social media, and avoided public appearances. Within the Vedanta Group, however, he was regarded as a thoughtful and forward-looking board member.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1982\">Agnivesh had earlier suffered injuries in a skiing accident in the US and was undergoing treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. According to Anil Agarwal, his condition had been improving.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2104\">\u201cWe believed the worst was behind us. But fate had other plans, and a sudden cardiac arrest took our son away,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2106\" data-end=\"2136\">PM Modi Offers Condolences<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2138\" data-end=\"2515\">Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences following Agnivesh Agarwal\u2019s passing. Responding to Anil Agarwal\u2019s post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, \u201cThe untimely passing of Shri Agnivesh Agarwal is deeply shocking and saddening.
