After the conclusion of Euro 2020 and Copa America 2021, football fans are looking forward towards Tokyo 2020 Olympics Men’s Football Tournament.<\/strong> The football at Olympics is not that famous as other football tournaments but it will surely attract many fans. It doesn\u2019t attract the biggest names as there is age restriction on players participating in the tournament. Only players under the age of 23 are permitted and three overage players. 16 teams will compete in Tokyo 2020 Olympics<\/a> for Gold Medal in Men’s Football Tournament. Indian football fans want to know Why Indian Football Team is not in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.Tokyo 2020 Olympics, that were postponed in the previous year are going to be held from 23 July. Although there are health concerns due to rising Covid-19 cases in Japan, but the officials have decided to organize the tournament in any case. The top three teams of the tournament qualified for the Olympics in Japan as the AFC representatives. It was the fourth edition of the\u00a0AFC U-23 Championship\u00a0for the men’s under-23 national teams of Asia. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament. It took place between 8\u201326 January 2020 in\u00a0Thailand.<\/p>\n

    Again, India is absent from the list. To understand this, we have to go towards\u00a02020 AFC U-23 Championship qualification.<\/b><\/p>\n

    The\u00a02020 AFC U-23 Championship qualification<\/b>\u00a0was an international men’s under-23\u00a0football\u00a0competition which decided the participating teams of the\u00a02020 AFC U-23 Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament. These matches served as the first stage of the AFC qualifiers for the\u00a02020 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament\u00a0in Japan.\u00a0\u00a0A total of 44 teams entered the competition and India was there.<\/p>\n
