Shane Warne, popular Australian cricket legend has sadly passed away of a suspected attack in Thailand at the age of just 52. Warne was an absolute legend and champion of cricket who has left the world at such an early age. This tragic incident has left the fans and the whole cricketing world in deep grief.

The Australian spinner is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricket icons in the world. Shane Warne retired as the Test cricket’s second most prolific wicket-taker. Warne was the member of Australian Cricket Team who won the 1999 ODI World Cup. He also played a crucial role in the team’s five historic Ashes title wins between 1993 and 2003.

After his retirement from national team, Shane Warne joined Rajasthan Royals in the first season of IPL and guided them to a fairy-tale title win in the inaugural season of Indian Premier League in 2008 as their captain and coach.

The tragic news of his death was released by Warne’s management company on Friday. They gave the following statement.

“It is with great sadness we advise that Shane Keith Warne passed away of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand today, Friday 4th March.” 

“Shane was found unresponsive in his Villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Shane Warne played 145 Tests and 194 ODIs between 1992 and 2007 for Australian Cricket Team. He took a combined 1001 wickets during his amazing international cricketing career.
