It is quite clear that Premier League giants Chelsea have been unsuccessful so far in the summer transfer window. The last signing made by Chelsea in this window was the signing of Senegalese defender Kalidou Kolibaly from Napoli which was announced over two weeks ago.

The West London club has been quite stagnant in this summer transfer window which has caused disappointment among fans. Chelsea has been subjected to criticism due to their failure to sign new players. Some individuals are taking a dig at the club.

One such party to take dig at Chelsea is Pizza chain, Domino’s. The official Twitter account of Domino’s Pizza UK made fun of the The Blues with a tweet which was quite hilarious. The tweet was :-

“We’ve delivered about 852,609 pizzas since Chelsea last delivered a successful transfer announcement.”

Besides failing to strengthen the squad by signing new players, Chelsea have lost some of its key players in this summer transfer window as well. Striker Romelo Lukaku went back to its former club Inter Milan. Centre back Antonio Rudiger joined UCL winners Real Madrid on a free transfer. Defender Azpicullezata joined Barcelona.

The target players of Chelsea in the summer transfer window were known to all but the Blues fail to secure the signatures of most of their targets. The major transfer targets of Chelsea were Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde. All the above mentioned players turned down the offer to join Chelsea and choose to join Spanish giants Barcelona.

Chelsea have secured only two strong signings so far, Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
