Veteran player, Franck Ribery made the Napoli defence look silly in a league match of Serie A. Ribery rolled back the years for Fiorentina vs Napoli by pulling off some ridiculous dribbling at 38-years-old.

He is still spreading his magic at Fiorentina despite recently celebrating his 38th birthday.  Fiorentina were trailing 1-0 going into the 58th minute, Ribery gave a stunning show of an astonishing dribbling sequence where he managed to evade four opponents despite playing in incredibly tight spots. Although, Fiorentina end up losing the game but Ribery was applauded after showing glimpses of his world class self.

Franck Ribery joined Fiorentina after he waved goodbye to Bayern Munich at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

The French winger was on the verge of winning Ballon d’OR in 2013. In fact, even in a world where Messi and Ronaldo were setting the beautiful game alight, there’s good reason to think that Ribery was the best player in the world with Bayern Munich in 2013.

Ribery had a sensational year at club level in 2013, notching 22 goals and 18 assists that as Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, German Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. However, it was not enough for him to steer away of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. After scoring 66 times, Ronaldo garnered 27.99% of the votes to win the prize, while Messi got 24.72% and Ribery got 23.36%.

Franck Ribery tweeted in solidarity with Palestinians

Football players across the world have expressed their solidarity with Palestinians after Israeli forces attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque and bombed civilian neighbourhoods of Gaza. At least 43 Palestinians have been killed, including 13 children and three women, and 300 others have been wounded in Israeli airstrikes.
