On August 21, 2023, the Board of Cricket Control of India announced the India’s squad for Asia Cup 2023. The Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be held from 30 August to 17 September 2023. It will be the 16th edition of the tournament. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be hosting Asia Cup this time. The tournament will be played between six teams. Sri Lanka are the defending champions of Asia Cup and India is the most successful team. India have won the trophy seven times. This time the tournament will be played in ODI format while the last edition of the tournament was held in T20I format.
