IPL 2022 – Harpreet Brar took the wickets of three cricket giants. He took the wicket of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB Devillers in the last season. He is playing his first match in Indian Premier League 2021. In the match between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, he did this wonder. He was selected in the team in place of Arshdeep Singh and he make the best out of this opportunity. Debut in cricket
Harpreet Brar is a left-arm orthodox spinner. He firstly started off for Roopar in the Punjab inter-district cricket tournament and then regularly topped the wicket-takers charts. However, once his team was relegated, the 6 feet 2 inches spinner made a move to Mohali. The move was based on Gurkeerat Singh Maan’s insistence. And that move worked wonders for the youngster.
He later went onto represent Punjab U-23 team. Harpreet has taken 18 wickets and also has scored 206 runs in five matches so far.
After a 7-year wait. Attending 4 trails, Harpreet Brar finally got an IPL contract. For a long time, he had been knocking the doors of the Punjab franchise. In December 2018, he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. He was bought for his base price of 20 Lakh by Kings XI Punjab.
He made his Twenty20 debut for Kings XI Punjab in the 2019 Indian Premier League on 20 April 2019 against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium. In his debut match, he played a crucial knock with the bat for his team. Harpreet walked in at a tricky situation when Punjab were six down for 129. They needed a desperate lift in the slog overs and Harpreet came to the fore – struck a quick-fire 12-ball 20 which included two fours and one six. But he couldn’t quite reciprocate the same success with the ball having leaked 24 runs off his 2 overs as Punjab threw in the towel.
