The 8th edition of ICC T20 world cup will commence from October 16th and the winner will be crowned on Nov13th, 2022. The T20 World Cup 2022 will be hosted by Australia after it was postponed in 2020 due to Coronavirus pandemic. T20 World Cup 2022 Teams List
A total of 12 teams will participate in this edition. 8 teams have already qualified for the Super 12 stage while the other 4 teams will qualify through First Round group stage.
It is actually a tournament of 16 teams — Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Namibia, Scotland, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland, UAE, Netherlands, and Zimbabwe. Ten out of these sixteen teams made to the T20WC by their standings in ICC rankings. The remaining six teams made through the Qualifier of T20 WC. Further, only two out of these six teams will be able to go beyond Round 1.

T20 World Cup 2022 Host Country
The T20 World Cup 2022 will be hosted by Australia. Initially, the T20 WC 2020 was scheduled in Australia but due to the coronavirus pandemic, India hosted the event in the United Arab Emirates last year. Therefore, Australia is hosting the men’s T20 World Cup in 2022, two years later than originally scheduled.
It would be fun to watch the teams playing in Australian pitches because the Australian soil generously provide a magical high for the ardent cricket fans.
The surface of the Australian pitches are naturally hard as they possess higher clay content. Therefore, the ball will derive some extra speed as soon as it pitches on the wicket. The ball will gain extra bounce from which makes the wicket a hub of pace and bounce.
Another exciting factor is that the Australian stadiums are quite large as compared to stadiums in other nations and therefore possess large dimensional outfields. T20 format is widely known for boundaries and therefore it will be fun to watch the batsmen struggling to score boundary. In the Australian stadiums, even the power hitters will face a problem to clear the boundary rope.

The fixtures of T20 World Cup 2022 will be played across seven Australian cities. Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide will be the seven cities. The stadiums in these respective cities will host 45 matches of the T20 World Cup 2022.
